Initially sold for $5, Warner Bros. promised to donate $3.50 of the proceeds from each sale of DLCs from one of the U.S. states to the Forgey family by December 31, 2019.  Warner Bros. has been criticized for trying to profit from Forgey`s death.  Following a public backlash, the DLC was made free on September 27, 2017 for everyone who had purchased the game and all proceeds were refunded to those who had previously purchased it, to Warner Bros. a lump sum donation to the Forgey family.  BUT, speaking of Shadow of Mordor, I went back and looked, and while the default clause “You don`t own the game” was there for this game, none of the other three clauses were.
In principle, all these new clauses were added due to microtransactions. That`s why they take care of monitoring your system.
